His Majesty The Vice President, Prime Minister, and ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has approved several housing projects totaling AED 5.4 billion to be implemented in various parts of the city for the benefit of its residents.
As a result of the initiatives, 3,004 additional residences will be constructed for Emirati citizens. 1,181 of these will be constructed in Latifa City for recipients of housing loans. The projects envision 606 new homes in Al Yalayis 5, 432 homes in Wadi Al Amardi, 398 homes in Al Awir 1, 200 homes in the Makan neighborhood of Hatta, 120 homes in Oud Al Muteena, and 67 homes in Dubai’s rural and rural areas for recipients of the housing grant category.
The housing projects, which provide a variety of choices for Emirati inhabitants, are in line with the Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Family Program, which was started by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s wife, H.H. Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum. The program’s objectives include promoting the well-being of families in Dubai, bolstering their stability and unity, revitalizing community values, improving the general standard of family life, providing an engaging social environment, and assisting families in striking the best possible work-life balance.
His Majesty Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that, in addition to being a crucial criterion for assessing the effectiveness of development programs and initiatives in the employment, manufacturing, infrastructure, and services sectors, citizen wellbeing is the ultimate goal of all development plans and the main force behind all government work.
His Highness said: “Housing programmes for citizens represent a top priority and we are committed to ensuring that our people have the best living standards and all the support they need to foster stable family environments and community wellbeing. People are the foundation of our renaissance, our successful development experience, and the cornerstone of the global standing we have achieved in all respects.”
Major housing initiatives will continue to be a part of a comprehensive plan to fulfill citizens’ aspirations for stability and high living standards, according to His Highness. This plan will also help achieve national strategies to drive ever greater prosperity and shape the future that the people of the United Arab Emirates truly deserve.
The new housing projects, according to Omar Hamad Bu Shehab, CEO of the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment, represent the leadership’s goal of giving citizens an extraordinary quality of life by offering an integrated residential environment that satisfies all of their needs while guaranteeing the utmost comfort and safety.
He added: “The housing projects plan is part of a series of projects implemented by the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment to provide for the future housing needs of Emirati citizens within integrated communities. These plans are implemented drawing upon the best urban planning standards, placing citizens at the forefront of all goals aimed at ensuring public wellbeing over the next 20 years.”
The Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan states that housing initiatives for Dubai residents are designed to meet future housing demands by making the best use of the emirate’s existing space. This is accomplished by making sure that the available land is sustainable while adhering to strict guidelines. A lot of work is also put into making sure that there is a wide variety of housing options and communities that provide the best quality of life, with a focus on green areas, recreational amenities, and business hubs.
